ADHD coaching is a type of support provided to individuals with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) to help them manage their symptoms, improve their daily functioning, and achieve their goals. ADHD coaching typically involves a collaborative partnership between a trained ADHD coach and the individual with ADHD.
ADHD coaching is not therapy or counseling but is focused on practical strategies and support to improve daily functioning. It aims to empower individuals with ADHD, build their self-confidence, and enhance their ability to navigate the challenges associated with ADHD in various aspects of life, such as academics, work, relationships, and personal development.

A Coaching Focus Call is your opportunity to explore your challenges and explore the outcomes that coaching could potentially achieve for you. You’ll get a ‘feel’ for what coaching with me would be like and whether we are a good coaching ‘fit’. The call is free and lasts about 45 minutes.

First, you’ll receive a meeting link and a short email. You’ll get a couple of reminders of the meeting before it happens. One of them has a link to a short form for some background info about you, your circumstances and where ADHD is impacting your life. This is really useful info and saves time better spent on our call talking about your challenges.
During our call I’ll want to hear more about your challenges and I’ll be picking out the why’s behind the challenges so we can dig a little deeper and gain greater clarity around the ways your ADHD is impacting your life. Along the way we can pick out topics that we could coach around. The call will be recorded using Fathom and a summary of the call will go into the Coaching Proposal that my PA, Naomi, will send after our call.
Along with the summary the Coaching Proposal will contain information about session lengths, frequency, how to book, rate card etc.. for you to consider and an invitation to start coaching.

Step 1 is to book a Coaching Focus Call to discover where you might want coaching to take you and what your coaching should focus on. If you want to get going all you need to do is send Naomi an email. She’ll help you schedule your first sessions, sort out the coaching agreement and get you onboard.

Broadly, there are three options;
Self-funding
Sponsorship from an employer or third party - about a third of clients have their coaching funded directly or indirectly by their employer.
Access to Work (UK based clients only) Coaching can be funded through the government’s Access To Work scheme and roughly a third of clients fund this way. The application process is not very ADHD friendly and is a bit time consuming. Support is available.

The average number of sessions is 14. I often do a free coaching review session after about 12 sessions to revisit and refresh the clients coaching goals and review their coaching progress.
-
Coaching sessions are either 30 or 45 minutes and take on a weekly or fortnightly basis. All coaching takes place over Zoom. More information is available on the current Rate Card

I want all my clients to get absolutely the most value that they possibly can out of coaching so I’m always looking for new ways to support clients.
Each client gets a Trello board through which coaching resources can be shared. Some clients use their board a lot, some, not so much. You’ll receive a prep form the day before each coaching session. It’s there as a prompt for you to give some thought to want you to coach around during the coaching session. Most clients find the form useful and send it back, others prefer to keep track of their coaching using a journal, notebook or other method.
Naomi will provide support when it comes to booking sessions and dealing with any admin issues that arise.

There is no obligation to book a certain number of sessions and no big upfront payment. There is no overall structure to coaching as in; in week one we coach around this, in week two we will coach around that. That isn’t client led coaching. We coach around the topics you wish to explore for as long as both client and coach are happy to continue.
